Spark Curtains

Spark curtains are available as an optional extra to fit behind Glass Fireplace Doors, for use when the doors are open. Spark curtains are especially suitable for Inglenook fireplaces to cover the whole opening.

A&M Mesh Spark Curtains are manufactured in the UK, made-to-measure by hand, and can be produced to fit any fireplace opening large or small, hood or canopy, inglenook or hole-in-the-wall. On larger fireplaces, they can be designed to park neatly out of sight down the inside walls. On smaller fireplaces we recommend a surface-mounted pelmet so that the curtains can be drawn clear of the opening and thereby leaving full view of the fire. Mesh available in black, stainless steel and brass.

We allow one and a half times the opening in actual mesh supplied, within our price. There is also a 75mm (3 inch) overlap in the centre. The standard price includes the lintel bar and fixings, although surface-mounted pelmets are extra. Delivery normally within 7-10 days of order.

Type One
(inside fit)

Is designed to fit inside a opening, under or up behind a lintel. Normally used on all widths up to 42 inches (107 cm).

Uses a shaped surface-mounted pelmet with closed ends (see illustration). Pelmets available in satin black or polished brass. For small fireplaces they are usually made wider than the opening to allow the curtains to be drawn clear.

Type Three

Used on all widths in excess of 42 inches (107cm), canopies, two or three sided fireplaces or where side returns are required. Fully circular fireplaces or canopies can also be fitted with these curtains.
